It comes with a quick-release mounting plate + adhesive, although it can be screwed into place (which I recommend). A nice touch is the cigarette lighter port. I use this to power an AC inverter, Zune MP3 player, Magellan GPS, and phone charger simultaneously on road trips. No problems at all in operation. It's a bit plasticky and cheap feeling (which is why I give it 4 stars), but otherwise it has been 100% reliable for me. ...more

The only thing that I didn't like is the length of the arm that plugs into the power outlet. It is longer than I would have liked but I assume that it is designed to fit in power outlets that are recessed into the dash. I removed the second arm and mounted the small part with the swivel ball directly to the arm that plugs into the outlet. That worked fine.
